The Om Raut directorial, produced by Bhushan Kumar, has sold around 3.50 lakh tickets across three chains - PVR, Inox and Cinepolis - for the opening weekend.
PVR leads with 1.77 lakh tickets, followed by INOX with 1.05 lakh tickets and finally Cinepolis with 73,000 tickets.
PVR, and Cinepolis dominated the bookings for Hindi version in the national chains with a combined sale of 2.30 lakh tickets over the weekend.
Advance bookings for the weekend are evenly split and with positive word of mouth, Saturday and Sunday could make a big bang depending on family support.
MovieMax's target audience is a bit bigger, and for Adipurush in the series going forward it indicates a good opening in Tier 2 and 3 centres.
Adipurush is headed towards an opening of Rs 25 crores in North and we cannot rule out the possibility of Rs 30 crores if the film has a strong walk-in on its release day.
